Thank you for your financial support of the Lone Star Symphonic Band! Your continued assistance allows us to keep our ticket prices low and offer more performances to the Houston-area community. The Band is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All donations to the Band may be fully tax deductible subject to IRS limitations.
As presented in our 2008 Annual Report, out of all the Band’s operating expenses, almost 91% was directly tied to putting on community performances, while only 9% was directed toward fundraising costs and administrative expenses.
The Lone Star Symphonic Band meets the Standards for Charity Accountability as defined by the Better Business Bureau's Philanthropic Affairs Division. Adhering to these standards helps ensure that your generous contributions will be put to good use.
Kroger ShareCard and Randall’s GoodNeighbor Programs
The Band is direct recipient of both the Kroger ShareCard program and Randall’s GoodNeighbor program. As a part of these programs, every time you shop for groceries at the participating retailer, they will donate to the Band an amount equal to 1% of your total purchases (certain items excluded). This program does not cost you anything and is an easy way to help fund the Band’s operations!
Kroger ShareCard Program
The Kroger ShareCard program runs from July through June, so if you have not linked your card since July 1, you will need to re-enroll. Enrolling in the program is a one step process. All you need to do is to print out the ShareCard Form below and take with you the next time you shop for groceries. Present the form along with your Kroger card to the cashier to be scanned and you are instantly enrolled from that point forward. It’s that simple!
Randall’s GoodNeighbor Program (ORGANIZATION #10442)
To enroll in the Randall’s GoodNeighbor Program, print the card below and take to the cashier the next time you shop. Your Randall’s card will then be linked and the Band will begin earning money every time you shop!

Employee Matching Programs
There are several companies that will match employee contributions to qualified charitable organizations, allowing you to increase your support to the Band. The following are a few companies that offer matching programs of some kind. The list is not all inclusive, so please check with your Human Resources or Community Relations departments to see what programs are available and what forms need to be submitted. If your employer currently has a matching program but is not listed here, please email the webmaster and we will add it to this list.

The Lone Star Symphonic Band places the highest priority on protecting the privacy of our donors and holds all donor information in strict confidence. The Band does not and will not sell or trade a donor's personal information to any other entity.
